Persija head coach Shin Tae-yong (STY) revealed the target he wants to achieve in the second trial match in Thailand against Thai League first-tier team Chiangrai United on Saturday (22/8), namely perfecting the main team structure.
"For the second match, we will strive to create a starting team that can play to its full potential and continue developing the playing style we want to implement. Because something like that can't happen overnight, it must be continuously refined," said STY, as quoted on Persija's official.
Persija have passed their first friendly match in Thailand with a 2-1 victory over second-tier team Police Tero thanks to two goals scored by Rayhan Hannan.
In this match, STY gave all players the opportunity to take part by fielding different player compositions in the first and second half.
After the match, STY assessed the fitness levels of each player. During the first week of training camp last week, Arlyansyah Abdulmanan and his teammates underwent an intense physical training program. They underwent two training sessions daily, focused on improving their fitness and endurance.
