The draw for the Europa League play-offs, which took place on Monday, resulted in some tough matches to determine who qualifies for the league stage.
If Rangers of Scotland overcome Jagiellonia Białystok of Poland in the third preliminary round, they will face the winner of the match between Larne of Northern Ireland and Iberia 1999 of Georgia in the play-off round, while the winner of the match between Benfica of Portugal and Hearts of Scotland will meet the winner of the match between Aarhus of Denmark and Sabah of Azerbaijan.
The draw also resulted in Trabzonspor of Turkey facing the winner of the match between Ferencváros of Hungary and Górnik Zabrze of Poland, while the winner of the match between KuPS Kuopio of Finland and Universitatea Craiova of Romania will meet the winner of the match between Ararat Armenia and Celje of Slovenia.
Belgian side Sint-Truiden will play the winner of the match between Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar and Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus, while the winner of the match between Hapoel Be'er Sheva of Israel and Red Star Belgrade of Serbia will meet Viktoria Plzen of the Czech Republic.
The winner of the match between Ireland's Shamrock Rovers and Albania's Ignatia will face Norway's Lillestrøm, and the winner of the match between Sweden's Mjällby and Slovakia's Slovan Bratislava will meet the winner of the match between Cyprus's Paphos and Austria's Salzburg.
The winner of the match between Levski Sofia of Bulgaria and Kairat Almaty of Kazakhstan will play against the winner of the match between PAOK of Greece and Anderlecht of Belgium, while the winner of the match between Lech Poznan of Poland and KJK Klaksvik of the Faroe Islands will meet the winner of the match between Thun of Switzerland and VÃkingur ReykjavÃk of Iceland.
The draw also resulted in the winner of the match between Czech Hradec Králové and Turkish Beşiktaş facing the winner of the match between Croatian Dinamo Zagreb and Lithuanian Kauno Žalgiris, while Greek OFI Crete will play against the winner of the match between Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv and Bulgarian CSKA Sofia.
The two-legged playoff matches will be held on August 20 and 27, with the winners qualifying for the league stage of the tournament.
