Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that the government is being cautious in drafting the revision of Presidential Regulation Number 19 of 2024 concerning the Acceleration of the Development of the National Games Industry.
He said that discussions on the revised regulations involved 25 ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Communication and Digital and the Ministry of Trade.
"We've put it together very carefully, with input from stakeholders not only in the government but also across the hexahelix , and God willing, it will work," he said during a discussion at the 2026 Indonesian Game Day (HARGAI) event at the Garuda Sparks Innovation Hub.
According to him, industry players, academics, and the community also provided suggestions and input regarding the revision of regulations on accelerating the development of the national gaming industry.
"Now we are entering the harmonization phase, and of course, this requires our collective support," he said.
