Field sources told RT that the Sudanese Air Force launched precise airstrikes targeting gatherings of the Rapid Support Forces and the Popular Movement faction led by Abdel Aziz al-Hilu in the al-Murib area of South Kordofan State.

The sources explained that the targeted forces were in the process of moving within the area, in preparation for launching a large-scale attack on the Al-Qardoud area and the villages adjacent to it, before they were surprised by the air strikes.
According to initial field data, the raids resulted in the destruction of approximately 30 motorcycles, in addition to two combat vehicles, within the targeted gatherings.
The sources confirmed that the operation came as part of proactive efforts aimed at thwarting the planned attack on Al-Qardoud and the surrounding areas, amid escalating field tensions.
These developments come at a time when several areas in South Kordofan are witnessing rapid military movements, with ongoing fighting and overlapping areas of influence of different parties, in a scene that reflects the complexity of the field situation in the locality.
