The World Boxing Association said women's featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano continued to cement her legacy as one of the greatest athletes in women's boxing history by scoring her 50th victory.
"Serrano defeated the brave and tenacious Argentinian challenger Lucrecia Anabella Manzur, marking her 50th victory in her illustrious professional career," the WBA said on its website in Jakarta on Wednesday.
In a 12-round fight in Temecula, California, United States, Serrano retained her world title with a hard-fought victory over Anabella.
The Puerto Rican boxer had to give his all to secure a unanimous decision victory with two judges scoring.
In addition to retaining his title, the win extended his record to 50 wins including 32 knockouts, four losses and one draw.
The WBA stated that Serrano's legacy, already marked by numerous world titles across multiple divisions, continues to grow with each successful title defense, placing her in a good position for future title unifications and major fights.
