Organizing Committee Chairman Agus Maulana explained that this championship is a stage for swimmers born between 2021 and 2009.
"This is our seventh event since 2024, providing a platform for children to develop their swimming skills," he said.
Agus explained that the participants were school students or members of swimming clubs throughout Indonesia. The committee clarified that participants must not be winners of national or provincial O2SN competitions, PON, POPNAS, Indonesia Open, regional and national championships, or FAI or POPB athletes. Registration was open from July 10 to September 6, 2026.
He stated that as part of the coaching, a special number was competed in this event, namely short course, to increase the confidence of young swimmers.
Agus added that, as a token of appreciation for the participants' hard work and dedication, the committee is providing prizes for the winners. There are two categories for winners: first, second, and third place for each series, and winners for the first, second, and third place events.
"This appreciation is part of our motivation to increase the pride of young swimmers for their hard work in training and competing," said Agus.
The committee, he added, also provided cash prizes for the winners with a total prize value of IDR 10 million.
Agus hopes this championship can continue, as young swimmers need a platform to showcase their training. Through the numerous championships, aspiring swimmers will hone their mental and physical skills from an early age, enabling them to represent their nation and country in future.
