A Spanish court on Thursday acquitted Real Madrid defender Raul Asensio of charges of posting a sex video without the other party's consent.
Asensio was acquitted of the charge of showing a sex video to another person without the consent of the parties involved. One of the girls appearing in the video, which dates back to 2023, was a minor.
The video featured Asensio and three other players from Real Madrid's youth team at the time, and they were all convicted of filming and posting the video without consent, but the sentences against them were suspended on the condition that the offenses are not repeated.
According to the court, the girl forgave the players.
The court's decision came hours after comments from Real Madrid's Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho, who said the club had opened a disciplinary investigation into Asensio after he was found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol.
