Liverpool legend and current Germany coach Jurgen Klopp praised the abilities of his former player Mohamed Salah after the latter's outstanding performance during Trabzonspor's match against Galatasaray on Saturday in the Turkish league.
Klopp said in statements reported by the website "haberts": "I feel something special whenever I talk about Mohamed Salah. I often ask myself how he maintains this level despite his age. He scored his first hat-trick yesterday with Trabzonspor, and the future will be even better for him. He is playing his first season in Turkey, and look what he is doing in the league."
He added: “Mohamed Salah is sweeping the Turkish league. Despite being a winger, he scores more goals than many strikers and helps his team achieve better results.”
He explained: “No one can doubt Mohamed Salah until the match is over because he is capable of making the difference at any moment. After Mohamed Salah’s third goal, I stood up to applaud him: it was a move, a great run, and a perfect finish into the goal.”
Klopp added: "Mohamed Salah reminded me of our days at Liverpool and what he did there. He gave me back that confidence that makes me believe anything is possible."
Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick and provided an assist, contributing to Trabzonspor's 4-0 victory over Galatasaray in the sixth round of the Turkish league.
