Egyptian Mohamed Salah received widespread praise from Nihat Kahveci, the former Turkish national team star and prominent sports analyst, after his outstanding performance and leading Trabzonspor to a resounding victory over Galatasaray in the Turkish league.
Salah scored a hat-trick and provided another assist, making all the difference and leading his team Trabzonspor to a resounding 4-0 victory.
Kahwaji described the Egyptian star as "Leo Salah," in reference to Argentine football legend Lionel Messi, winner of the Ballon d'Or 8 times.
The former Turkish international said via the "Kontra Spor" channel on the "YouTube" platform after the match: "I don't think there is anything that can be said about Salah.. He is Leo Salah for those who understand! He takes the ball from the middle of the field and dribbles, and you say to yourself that he is going to score, and he actually does it."
The former Turkish star added: "In a 4-0 victory there are stars and good players, but there are also world-class stars... Salah said today: I am a world-class star, he deserves a warm round of applause, he is truly a great player."
After this hat-trick, Salah became the first player in Trabzonspor's history to score three goals in a single home game against Galatasaray in the Turkish Super League
The Egyptian star also became the oldest player to score a hat-trick in a single match in the Turkish Super League throughout the history of Trabzonspor, at the age of 34 years and 96 days.
