The television interview that followed the Sassuolo-Juventus match turned into an unexpected scene, after Luciano Spalletti got into a brief argument with a Sky Sport reporter following the dramatic 3-2 defeat.
Juventus experienced a crazy end to the match at the Mapei Stadium, after they thought they had salvaged a point following Edon Zygrova's equalizer in stoppage time, before Vasili Adzic snatched the winning goal for Sassuolo in the final moments.
The defeat came despite Zygrova scoring two goals, with Juventus conceding three goals in a match that saw major twists and turns.
After the final whistle, Sky reporter Giovanni Guarella began talking about the difficulty of analyzing what happened during the match, saying that he did not know how he could analyze this scenario, before Spalletti suddenly interrupted him, saying: "Don't cry, don't cry."
The reporter seemed surprised by the coach's response and quickly clarified his position, saying, "I'm not crying, and how could I cry? I'm just asking questions," before asking Spalletti again if he could begin the interview. The coach replied briefly, and the conversation continued normally.
Aside from this amusing situation, Spalletti spoke about the reasons for the defeat, admitting that Juventus lost its balance in its attempt to find the winning goal.
He pointed out that the team was required to take advantage of the opportunities it created, but in return it left large spaces in front of Sassuolo, which ultimately cost it a fatal goal.
