It was not an ordinary encounter in the Turkish league, but rather an exceptional night for the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who stole the spotlight in his first summit in the Trabzonspor jersey after leading his team to sweep Galatasaray with a clean four-goal victory.
On a night when the "Egyptian King" shone, Salah was the star of the show after scoring three goals and creating another, directly contributing to all four of his team's goals, and writing a remarkable debut with Trabzonspor.
Salah delivered one of his most outstanding performances since moving to the Turkish league, deciding the match against one of the biggest clubs in the competition with three goals, in addition to a decisive pass, in a performance that made his name top the headlines of the sports press.
This brilliance did not go unnoticed, as the Egyptian star received great praise from French football legend Thierry Henry, who spoke about Salah’s achievement in statements reported by the Turkish newspaper “Sabah”.
Henry said: "Imagine scoring your first hat-trick in the Turkish league against one of the biggest clubs in Türkiye, Galatasaray... You must respect its name and achievements."
Henry's praise did not stop at performance on the field, but also touched on Salah's time with Liverpool, in a message that clearly defended the Egyptian star.
The Arsenal legend added: "It's clear that Mohamed Salah was never the cause of the problem at Liverpool. There may have been some disagreements within the club's management, but it certainly wasn't about the King of Egypt."
