Ahmed Fatouh, the left-back of the Egyptian national team, suffered a worrying injury during the match against South Sudan, which took place on Tuesday evening, as part of the second round of Group B of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Fatouh asked his coach Hossam Hassan to make a substitution in the 52nd minute, due to an injury to his thigh muscle, following a joint ball, and his teammate Karim Hafez came in his place.

Fattouh is scheduled to undergo medical examinations in the next few hours to diagnose the injury and determine the duration of his absence.
