Carrick is still searching for the best formula against Everton and will start Sesko from the start if needed.
"He's shown tremendous progress over the last season, and he's still young and continues to adapt, learn and develop here," said Carrick.
Benjamin Sesko was a key figure for Manchester United last season as they beat Everton at Hill Dickinson, scoring the only goal of the game in February.
Carrick explained that Sesko's condition continues to show good fitness after missing the pre-season with Manchester United due to undergoing recovery.
The British coach explained that he wanted to prioritize Sesko's fitness reaching 100 percent, so he needed to consider everything carefully.
He continued, explaining that the Slovenian player still has a lot of potential and that patience is key to bringing back his best.
"I was really pleased with his condition when he came back, so I'm looking forward to seeing him on the pitch more often," said Carrick.
Benjamin Sesko was a key figure in the forward line last season, making 30 Premier League appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist in 1,637 minutes of play.
This season, the 23-year-old has only managed 33 minutes of playing time in two Premier League matches, both of which came as a substitute.
