According to the Cooperatives Minister the development of KDKMP has now reached around 23,000 cooperatives spread across various villages and sub-districts throughout Indonesia.
He is optimistic that the physical construction of the cooperative, including the warehouse and various facilities, can be completed according to the targets directed by the President.
"God willing, this year we can complete the construction of 30,000 physical buildings, warehouses, and equipment, in accordance with the President's directive," he said at the Borobudur Indonesia Expo 2026 in Magelang City Square.
He explained that the program is now entering the operational phase. This follows the signing of the Presidential Regulation concerning the Governance and Operations of the KDKMP.
In addition to physical development, the cooperative managers who have been recruited have also received training and are prepared to be placed in each KDKMP.
Currently, the verification and validation process is still ongoing, including preparations for the handover of physical buildings, warehouses, and various equipment to the village to then become village assets.
"This operational phase is crucial to ensure everything runs smoothly and KDKMP can provide the greatest possible benefits to cooperative members and the community," he added.
One of the main functions of KDKMP, he also said, is to be a distribution channel for various subsidized goods to the public.
