Despite the ongoing suspension, the president of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) is calling for a solution to the crisis facing Russian athletes

Coe said the federation's position had not changed, stressing that the issue was not about politics or passports, but about "the integrity of the competitions".

Meanwhile, the president of the International Association of Athletics Federations explained that the organization seeks to ensure the participation of as many athletes as possible on the global stage, considering that reaching competitions that include all participants is the main goal of the federation.

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) decided on July 3 to extend the exclusion of Russian athletes from participating in international championships, with Coe confirming at the time that the sanctions would continue, noting that they were aimed at protecting the integrity and fairness of competitions.

Following the decision, the Russian Athletics Federation filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the decision of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), describing the sanctions imposed on Russian athletes as unfair.
