In 94 seconds, Chimaev sets the atmosphere on fire and defeats Woodley in "RAF" Moscow

UAE representative Hamza Chimaev won the main event of the Real American Freestyle (RAF) championship in Moscow on Saturday night after pinning American Tyron Woodley in just 94 seconds in the freestyle wrestling competition.

Chimaev asserted his dominance from the very first seconds, knocking Woodley to the ground at 1:34, before continuing his pressure from above and finishing the match with a pinfall to achieve another quick victory in the freestyle wrestling competitions during 2026.

In his interview with Chael Sonnen after the fight, Chimaev revealed his next RAF bout, announcing that it will be against Brazilian Gilbert Burns at RAF 13, scheduled for September 18, in a rematch of their previous encounter at the UFC.

Chimaev's victory halted Woodley's strong comeback to combat sports after the American's win over Joaquin Buckley at "RAF 12" weeks earlier, ending an eight-year winless streak in combat sports.

With his victory in Moscow, Chimaev continued his strong presence in the RAF during 2026 before moving on to a new chapter against Burns in September in a fight that combines a background in professional wrestling with the history of competition between fighters in the UFC.
