Manchester United defender Harry Maguire suffered a horrific facial injury just seconds after his team's match against Everton in the third round of the English Premier League.
Maguire, 33, retained his place in the starting lineup after playing a pivotal role in the Red Devils' 5-2 win over Ipswich Town last weekend.
But the English defender started the Everton match with a painful beginning.
Barely a minute had passed since the start of the match when Maguire was involved in a strong and horrific head collision with Everton striker Thierno Barry, prompting the medical staff to rush onto the pitch as soon as the English defender fell to the ground following this strong collision.
Blood soon began to flow profusely from the nose of the central defender on the pitch of "Hill Dickenson" stadium.
Maguire's teammates gathered around him amid fears that coach Michael Carrick might have to make an early substitution, with young Lenny Yoro being ordered to start warming up in anticipation of any developments.
