Jakmania and Bobotoh Bekasi agree to maintain brotherhood ahead of the match

Representatives of the Jakmania and Bobotoh supporter groups in Bekasi City, West Java, agreed to maintain brotherhood and regional conduciveness, ahead of the football match between Persija  and Persib Bandung at the Gelora Bung Karno  Main Stadium.

The peace agreement emerged during the Inter-Supporter Gathering Forum initiated by the Bekasi City Metro Police at the Bekasi City Metro Police Headquarters.

"Identifying ourselves as supporters shouldn't create distance. In fact, through their love for their respective clubs, The Jakmania and Bobotoh can demonstrate that football has the power to unite and unite," said Bekasi City Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Putu Kholis Aryana.

Putu Kholis explained that the open dialogue resulted in a shared commitment to strengthening communication networks between supporter coordinators, preventing potential provocation, and dampening destructive narratives that could potentially trigger tensions on social media.

Both groups of supporters agreed on the importance of prioritizing verified information to minimize the spread of disinformation during the pre- and post-match periods.

In addition, safety aspects were a primary concern at the meeting, including data collection of all group members, suitability of transportation capacity, and technical coordination schemes during the departure and return of supporters.

He added that the return of the Persija vs. Persib match at the GBK Main Stadium after seven years is a valuable moment that must be maintained together with full maturity.
