Elon Musk has withdrawn a lawsuit he filed against Apple more than a year ago, accusing the iPhone maker of favoring OpenAI's ChatGBT over rival chatbots.
Documents filed in court on Monday showed that the lawsuits against Apple had been settled, without providing details on how they were resolved.
However, Musk's lawsuit against OpenAI is still pending.
Musk was an early investor in OpenAI, and he is also embroiled in a long-running dispute with its CEO, Sam Altman.
Musk accused Altman, among other things, of illegally transforming OpenAI from an organization originally established as a non-profit into a for-profit company, and profiting from that change.
A jury in California issued a verdict against Musk in that case.
Musk's accusations against Apple centered on a partnership with OpenAI that was announced in 2024.
Under this agreement, iPhone users and other Apple device users can send inquiries that the Siri voice assistant cannot answer to ChatGPT.
