"It's not my problem. This is nothing new because this issue has been discussed for the past four or five years," Mancini.
Mancini's statement came after an independent commission reportedly found Manchester City guilty of 114 of 115 counts of violating the Premier League's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. However, sanctions against the club have not yet been determined and the legal process in the case is still ongoing.
Manchester City is also expected to appeal the decision.
Mancini managed Manchester City from 2009 to 2013.
During his four years with the Citizens, he led the club to its first Premier League title in 44 years and also won the FA Cup.
One aspect of the case relates to Manchester City's alleged failure to provide accurate information regarding payments to players and coaches during a number of seasons,
including during Mancini's tenure as manager. The Italian was also questioned about allegations of double contracts related to his tenure at Manchester City.
He reiterated that the issue was a club matter.
