The Russian Football Union has unveiled the national team's new jersey with a design inspired by the sound wave of the first note of the national anthem, in an idea that combines national identity with modern design.
The basic shirt, in maroon, features the digital sound wave of the anthem's opening melody, along with its first lines, while the phrase "Russia... our sacred state" is written inside the collar.
The alternate jersey came in white with blue details on the collar, sleeves and sides, and included words from the anthem, while the inside of the collar bore the phrase: "Long live the country! We are proud of you."
The Russian Federation explained that the design was based on converting the sound wave of the first note of the anthem, written in the key of "C major," into a digital mathematical drawing that became part of the shirt's shape and texture.
The two sets are made of jacquard fabric with a technology that helps to eliminate moisture during physical exertion.
The unveiling of the new jersey coincides with the Russian national team's training camp, which began on September 21. The team will play three friendly matches during the international break: against Iran in Kazan on September 29, Namibia in Yekaterinburg on October 3, and Nigeria in Nizhny Novgorod on October 6.
The Russian national team has been wearing equipment from the local company Jogel since the spring of 2024, after the Russian Football Union extended its contract with the company in October 2025, with the agreement remaining in effect until 2030.
