Russia is showcasing a range of its latest products and technologies in the armament sector at the El Alamein International Aviation Exhibition (EIAS 2026) in Egypt.
Photographs published by the Russian arms export company Rosoboronexport show the modernized Yak-130M aircraft, which has been transformed into a light multi-mission combat platform, and is distinguished by its great capabilities in the field of armament, reconnaissance and defense.
The Russian United Aircraft Corporation announced that the modernized Yak-130M combat trainer and fighter jet, along with the fifth-generation Su-57E fighter jet, have arrived in Egypt to participate in the El Alamein International Aviation and Space Show 2026. The company stated that the Yak-130M is equipped with advanced systems, including an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, which enhances its combat capabilities and enables it to use a wide range of guided weapons.
The exhibition also featured, for the first time, new aerial bombs from the Russian "S-71" family, including: "S-71M-Monochrom" and "S-71K-Kovur". "Monochrom" is an air-launched glide munition powered by a jet engine, equipped with the ability to independently search for and identify targets.
They were also joined by the Banderol munition, a small-sized unmanned aerial munition, which is currently being used effectively in special military operations.
United Aircraft Company General Manager Vadim Padika said: “North Africa is one of the important regions for promoting our products. Our company is among the few companies in the world that possess advanced competencies in all sectors of the aircraft industry, which we are keen to showcase at this exhibition. We will also be displaying for the first time the latest, most efficient, and unparalleled aerial means in the world.”
It is worth mentioning that the "Alamein International Aviation and Space Exhibition 2026" has begun its activities at Alamein International Airport in Egypt, and will continue until September 10.
