Bima explained in his statement that the cosmopolitan generation in question is not merely a generation capable of adapting to global developments, but rather a generation capable of balancing capacity and work at the global level with character and love for Indonesia.
According to him, students need to have an activist mentality to continue working and providing benefits, while still making national values part of their identity.
"God willing, your mentality will be that of an activist. You'll have global work and a nationalist heart," said Bima.
He delivered this message while speaking at the Campus Dynamics Orientation Talkshow (ORDIK) at Muhammadiyah University Surabaya.
This, Bima continued, aligns with the spirit of "fastabiqul khairat, " a key value within Muhammadiyah. The spirit of competing in good deeds not only motivates individuals to provide benefits but also serves as a way to enhance their own and their environment's capacity.
Therefore, Bima encouraged new students to be proud of being part of Muhammadiyah and to utilize the environment as a space for continued growth. He believes Muhammadiyah has a broad educational, social, and community service ecosystem, making it a platform for the younger generation to develop themselves and expand their contributions.
