Commission I of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional People's Representative Council is inviting the public to provide input to the legislature regarding the track records of commissioner candidates currently participating in the selection process for the NTB Regional Information Broadcasting Commission.

Moh Akri, Chairman of Commission I for Government, Law, and Human Rights, said the public has been given 14 days to provide feedback on the candidates who have passed the NTB KPID selection process.
"We are giving the public 14 days to provide their feedback," Akri said in Mataram on Thursday.
He stated that public feedback can be submitted in writing and addressed officially to the NTB DPRD through the DPRD leadership.
Commission I will then follow up on the feedback technically.
"It will be officially submitted by the DPRD leadership. Commission I will then share the technical details," he said.
Akri explained that public feedback is part of the process before Commission I of the NTB DPRD conducts a fit and proper test on the prospective NTB KPID members.
"Only after that can we conduct the fit and proper test," Akri emphasized.
Regarding information regarding the track records of several candidates, including allegations of former convicts and political party officials still on the list, Akri chose not to respond.
He said that his office had not yet received the information or official responses.
"I can't respond to that because I haven't been appointed yet," he said.
Akri emphasized that Commission I of the NTB Regional People's Representative Council can only respond after all public feedback has been submitted through official mechanisms.
"I haven't received what has been sent. I've only heard and read about it in the mass media," Akri said.
Therefore, Akri asked the public who have information or feedback regarding the candidates' track records to submit it officially.
"Wait for it to be officially submitted, then there will be input from the public regarding the 'track records' of these individuals," Akri concluded.
Akri said that the public feedback received will later become part of the material in the selection process before the fit and proper test is carried out.
He also did not provide any certainty regarding the possibility of accommodating certain names said to have received positive responses from the public and youth organizations.
Akri emphasized that the process is still ongoing and all input must follow the established mechanisms.
