Tito, at the Ministry of Home Affairs Building said that this could be done by regional governments through the Indonesian Joint Space concept, which focuses on empowering and protecting women and children at the village and sub-district levels.
The concept was then legalized and systematized through a joint decree of three ministers.
"Based on this Joint Decree, women and children protection activities at the village and sub-district levels, within the RBI concept, will not be merely ceremonial, but will be overseen and made mandatory," Tito said.
He stated that the RBI program must be included in the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget and regional development plans, including the 2027 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD), and must be a mandatory activity for regional governments.
"We'll be keeping a close eye on this. If there's no RBI program, we'll reinstate it. Bring back the draft regional budget and incorporate this program based on the joint decree of three ministers," he said.
