US President Donald Trump issued a stark warning that he had entered a crucial "decision-making phase" regarding the ongoing war with Iran.
He warned that “major developments” were imminent if Tehran failed to change its attitudes and behavior.
"The question is, will I destroy the entire country and when? They better behave themselves," Trump told US , detailing his approach to the conflict.
The US president explained his current options include destroying the country completely, letting it "rot" economically, or negotiating a peace deal.
He added that “very big things are going to happen in the near future.”
When asked about the UN General Assembly session that begins Trump signaled his willingness to pursue diplomatic channels.
He said the "possibility" of holding a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was "open."
Responding to broader tensions in the Middle East region, Trump emphasized that Washington continues to maintain intensive communication with the Houthi group in Yemen.
This move follows the latest ballistic missile attack launched by the Houthis on Saudi Arabian territory.
According to Trump, the group has agreed not to attack or engage in confrontation with US military forces.
