The Russian agricultural machinery and heavy equipment company Rostelmash has developed a new agricultural tractor, the Rostelmash 3580, with 580 horsepower.
This model was created using technologies developed by the company itself, according to the Ross Spetsmash association.
"The Rostslamch 3580, which we developed and manufactured, is the first Russian high-powered tractor designed for agricultural work," said Valery Maltsev, General Director of Rostslamch. "It is also equipped with the first fully automatic transmission in Russia, developed in-house, the PowerShift automatic transmission. I am absolutely confident that this step will become an incentive for the further development of the domestic tractor industry."
He explained that the new automatic transmission was developed in cooperation with Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
The high-powered Rostslamch 3580 tractor increases the efficiency of agricultural work in the fields, reduces the operator's workload, and provides comfortable working conditions in accordance with the latest international standards. It is suitable for large farms where productivity and efficiency are priorities.
It is worth noting that the "Rostslamch 3580" is the first model in the new family of 3000 series tractors. This series will include tractors with a power ranging between 440 and 580 horsepower, and will be equipped with special axles, automatic gearboxes, high-performance hydraulic systems with a power of more than 400 liters per minute, and the "Agrotronic" digital platform for monitoring machine performance.
The double cab will also be equipped with an automated "autonomous driver" system based on satellite navigation, which helps the operator determine the route while working at night. The Russian tractor weighs 27 tons.
The company plans to conduct a full course of field tests for the new tractor before commencing serial production.
