The Gulf Football Federation has assigned the task of managing the match between Yemen and Qatar to the Jordanian international referee Adham Makhadmeh, who is scheduled to blow the starting whistle at (18:55) Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Qatar time.
The Qatari national team is looking for the three points after winning the first round against their Bahraini counterparts by two goals to nil, in order to secure their early qualification to the semi-finals of the tournament.
On the other hand, the Yemeni national team is seeking a result that will revive its hopes of competing for one of the two qualifying tickets to the next round, after the heavy defeat against its Emirati counterpart by four goals to nil in the first round.

The Yemen vs. Qatar match in the second round of "Gulf Cup 27" will be broadcast on a number of Arab sports channels, namely: Al Kass Sports Channels, Shasha Platform, Oman Sports, Kuwait Sports, Saudi Sports, Sharjah Sports.
The "Gulf Cup 27" tournament will be held in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, 2026, with the participation of eight teams divided into two groups. The first group includes Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Kuwait, in addition to the second group which includes Qatar, Yemen, the UAE and Bahrain.
After Yemen and Qatar face off today, the second group matches will conclude on Wednesday, September 30, when Qatar takes on the UAE, and Yemen plays Bahrain.
After the end of the group stage, the two semi-final matches will be held on Saturday, October 3, between the leader of Group A and the runner-up of Group B, and between the leader of Group B and the runner-up of Group A, before the two finalists who will conclude the 27th edition of the Gulf Cup are determined on Tuesday, October 6, at the “Al-Inma” stadium.
