She says: “Facial muscle twitching is a condition in which the muscles around the eye begin to contract involuntarily, causing a twitching sensation. This condition may occur as a result of anxiety or fatigue. In such cases, it is usually recommended to establish a regular sleep schedule, ensuring sufficient sleep – 7-9 hours. It is also essential to spend time outdoors and avoid caffeinated and alcoholic beverages, or at least abstain from them for at least a month.”
According to her, the patient is then monitored for a period of time. If no change occurs within three months, the patient may be prescribed a procedure called botulinum toxin therapy, which temporarily blocks the transmission of nerve signals to the muscles, leading to their relaxation and a reduction in excessive tension.
She says: "The patient is injected with special medical botulinum toxin, which is sold in pharmacies and not in markets. This procedure is not cosmetic, but neurological, and must be performed by a doctor. After this treatment, the muscle relaxes and its tremors stop."
