Alex Marquez maintains his leg condition while training in Mandalika

BK8 Gresini Racing racer Alex Marquez is trying to maintain his physical condition while undergoing training for the 2026 Indonesian MotoGP at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok Regency.
He is still experiencing problems with his leg after suffering health problems following his crash at the Catalunya GP in May.

These conditions require the Spanish racer to manage his physical endurance, including his energy, while facing the hot weather and the characteristics of the Mandalika track.

"From San Marino, Austria, Japan, I learned a lot, and now in Indonesia, that's why we're trying to save a little energy and avoid aggravating my leg condition," said Marc Marquez's younger brother, after Friday afternoon's practice session.

Alex also highlighted the different grip characteristics of the tires at Mandalika compared to last week's Japanese GP.

According to him, changes in grip levels in several parts of the track mean riders have to adjust their riding style.
