Norway met Portugal on Sunday evening in the fourth round of the UEFA Nations League, in a match that saw them lose 2-1.
Erling Haaland asked to be substituted in Norway's match against Portugal after feeling a muscle injury and left the field limping after just over an hour of play.
Haaland's injury adds to Manchester City's woes, as the club is scheduled to return to action next weekend against Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League, on October 11, after the international break.
With Haaland's condition still uncertain, Manchester City will be without Phil Foden for their upcoming match against Liverpool after his sending-off against Manchester United, and there are also doubts surrounding Nico Aurelio's participation after he left the England camp due to injury.
In addition, Manchester City have already been found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges brought against them by an independent panel relating to breaches of Financial Fair Play regulations and Premier League rules.
