The company said in a statement: "The feature to lock conversations via PIN code is being rolled out gradually. Locked conversations allow you to keep specific conversations in your account while hiding them from your chat history, pinned conversations, and search results. This helps maintain the privacy of sensitive conversations when sharing your screen or using a shared device. This feature will be available in the free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu editions of ChatGPT."
OpenAI noted that resetting an account's PIN will permanently delete all locked conversations and the information stored within them, as well as any files and other content "protected only by the previous PIN." The statement added, "This action is irreversible, and the OpenAI support team will not be able to recover deleted data."
TASS previously reported, citing a "Pay Global" study, that ChatGPT became the most used foreign service during September, with the number of purchases increasing by 47% during the month compared to August. The service outperformed the App Store, iCloud, and Apple Music, which topped the list of purchases in July and August.
