The expert suggests using the Harvard Plate and the principles of the Mediterranean diet as guides when creating a balanced meal plan. Half the plate should consist of fruits and vegetables, a quarter of protein, and the remaining quarter of complex carbohydrates. She advises choosing seasonal fruits and vegetables, but emphasizes that they are not the only option.
