The meeting, which took place is expected to produce an understanding that benefits Indonesia and Singapore, especially in natural resource management and trade.
According to him, the meeting was an opportunity for President Prabowo to emphasize the government's commitment to Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, which regulates the management of natural resources for the greatest prosperity of the people.
Oleh continued, that natural resource export management needs to be considered so that Indonesia can obtain optimal economic benefits from its natural wealth.
One of the issues he highlighted was Indonesia's plan to increase exports directly without going through third parties.
He touched on the palm oil trade, which, he said, is exported to Singapore before being re-marketed to other countries. This pattern has the potential to deprive Indonesia of some of the economic benefits from the commodity it produces.
President Prabowo is known to have received the Singaporean Foreign Minister at his private residence in Hambalang.
Several issues were discussed on the occasion, including forest and land fires.
Foreign Minister Arrmanatha emphasized that the Indonesian government is prioritizing handling the forest and land fires, the impacts of which have reached neighboring countries.
