The Saudi national team won the title after defeating their Emirati counterparts 2-0 in the final match held at Al-Inma Stadium.
In addition to winning the most prestigious title, the Saudi national team players also dominated the individual awards of the "Gulf Cup 27" tournament:
Saudi player Hammam Al-Hamami, who scored one of the Green Falcons' goals in the final, won the Best Player award in the tournament, after his outstanding contribution to his country winning the Gulf title for the first time in 23 years.
Saudi striker Firas Al-Buraikan won the tournament's top scorer award after scoring 3 goals, one in the final against the UAE and two against Oman.
Al-Buraikan was tied for the top scorer title with Oman's Nasser Al-Rawahi, but the Saudi national team's victory gave their striker the advantage and secured the award for him.
Saudi Arabia's goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais won the "Golden Glove" award for best goalkeeper in the tournament, after achieving a historic feat by keeping a clean sheet in all matches of "Gulf Cup 27".
Al-Owais kept a clean sheet during the group stage matches against Kuwait, Oman and Iraq, and in the semi-final against Qatar he decided the match in his country’s favor by saving two penalty kicks, and in the final against the UAE, he achieved an unprecedented record in the history of the tournament.
The only award that went outside of Saudi Arabia was the Best Promising Player award, which was won by Yemeni player Adel Abbas Qasim.
