digital platforms were given 30 calendar days to implement the required child protection measures.
The decree applies to social media platforms and other digital platforms that allow users to create, distribute, or share content.
The rules include prohibiting minors from accessing hate speech, violent extremism, sexual exploitation and abuse, suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, school bullying, misdirection, cybercrime, unlawful acts, and sexually explicit material.
Digital platform providers are required to identify and remove accounts or content that promote violence and provide age classifications for each content.
Additionally, platform providers must provide parental control features and reporting channels, as well as implement stricter privacy and security settings for younger users.
