"There has been an acceleration in operational development, from the Regional General Hospital to 100 percent, the Community Health Center at 100 percent, with only six Pustu remaining," said.
Tito said the disaster that occurred since November last year had an impact on dozens of regional public hospitals, hundreds of community health centers, and hundreds of assistant community health centers in the three provinces.
According to him, the acceleration of the recovery of health facilities is being carried out through the efforts of the Ministry of Health, including the deployment of health volunteers from Jakarta and the utilization of regular budgets and non-governmental support.
Tito said the Minister of Health moved quickly to address the impact of the disaster, even before the rehabilitation and reconstruction budget was available.
"Even before the budget for rehabilitation and reconstruction was released, he had already used his own budget, both regular and non-governmental funds that he had raised," he said.
The government is targeting the post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction process in the three provinces to last three years, namely 2026 to 2028.
Tito emphasized that recovery is not solely the responsibility of the central government, but requires the involvement of local governments to ensure that affected public facilities and services can return to optimal functioning.
Therefore, the Ministry of Home Affairs held an online meeting with regional heads in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra to convey developments in the health sector recovery and encourage accelerated rehabilitation and reconstruction in the regions.
He hopes that progress in the restoration of health facilities will encourage local governments to accelerate the use of financial assistance provided by the central government.
According to Tito, the realization of additional regional financial assistance still varies. Some regions have realized up to 60 percent, while others are still below 10 percent, even though it's mid-October.
"This recovery must be carried out jointly by the central government, which also receives the budget, ministries/agencies, and regions, which also receive the budget, working together in parallel," said Tito.
