Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani emphasized that the spirit of togetherness based on the noble values of the Pancasila ideology can strengthen the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia while reading the pledge at the 2026 Pancasila Sanctity Day Commemoration Ceremony at the Pancasila Sakti Monument.
Puan read the Pancasila Sanctity Day Pledge after reading the Pancasila Text and the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution.
He stepped onto the ceremonial podium while reading the Pancasila Sanctity Day Pledge.
"Since the proclamation of the Independence of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 1945, in reality there has been much undermining, both from within the country and abroad, against the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said Puan while reading the pledge.
According to him, this undermining was made possible by the negligence and lack of vigilance of the Indonesian people towards activities that seek to overthrow Pancasila as the state ideology.
In commemorating Pancasila Sanctity Day, according to him, the nation needs to strengthen its resolve to continue to maintain and practice the values of Pancasila as a source of strength, upholding truth and justice for the sake of the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
After reciting the Pancasila Sanctity Day Pledge, she then signed the pledge dated October 1, 2026. Puan has recited the Pancasila Sanctity Day Pledge for the sixth consecutive time.
Following the Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration ceremony, he accompanied President Prabowo to inaugurate and tour the Pancasila Sanctity Museum in the Lubang Buaya area. Established in 1992, the museum has recently undergone a complete revitalization and name change.
Furthermore, in commemorating Pancasila Sanctity Day 2026, he stated that this commemoration serves as a momentum to strengthen the responsibility of all elements of the nation in delivering justice.
