The fallout from the crisis between Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal coach Jorge Jesus did not end with his departure from the national team camp, as "CR7" engaged in a sarcastic confrontation with English journalist and businessman Simon Jordan.

British journalist Piers Morgan revealed a private comment sent to him by Ronaldo, after he watched a clip of a discussion he had with Jordan about the Portuguese star’s recent crisis with his national team.

Morgan said on the show Sports Uncensored that Ronaldo commented on Jordan, saying: "This blond guy needs to stop getting Botox injections, he looks like an apple."

Morgan added sarcastically that Ronaldo believes Jordan's face has become suspiciously smooth due to Botox.

Jordan had a heated debate with Morgan on the White & Jordan show on TalkSport, after the latter defended Ronaldo and criticized the media's handling of his dispute with Jesus.

Jordan Morgan asked whether he believed that Ronaldo's behavior might be one of the main reasons behind the player's recent repeated crises.

Morgan responded sarcastically, asking if Jordan had ever played football before, to which the latter replied that he had previously owned a club and dealt with players, before the conversation between them escalated.

After the video of the confrontation went viral, Morgan sent it to Ronaldo, who didn't miss the opportunity to respond in his sarcastic way.

Ronaldo's comments come amid a crisis that erupted during the recent international break, after the Portugal captain left the national team camp following a dispute with Jesus.

According to Ronaldo’s account, he was scheduled to participate in the national team’s two matches during the break, but he later learned that the coach did not want him to travel to Norway and Denmark, which the player refused, considering that his staying in Portugal would not be an appropriate message to the rest of his teammates.

Things changed on the day of the match against Norway, after Jesus told him during lunch that he might play for 30 minutes. Ronaldo confirmed that this appearance wasn't part of his recovery and training program, but he agreed and began preparing for the game.

The Portuguese star did indeed begin warming up at the start of the second half, but he remained on the bench and did not enter the pitch. Ronaldo believes that Jesus did not keep the promise he made to him, which has led to an escalation of the dispute between the two.

After the match, Ronaldo admitted that he had made a mistake by not thanking the Portuguese fans who had traveled to support the national team, and he apologized to them.

He also revealed a subsequent meeting he had with Jesus and Simao Coutinho, the sporting director of Al-Nassr club, indicating that there was an agreement to clarify what happened during the coach's press conference.

But according to Ronaldo's account, what was agreed upon was not implemented, and he said that during the meeting he heard "aggressive statements" that he felt went beyond the limits he expected.

Ronaldo considered this incident to be the second time that Jesus had not kept a promise he had made to him, stressing that this led to a breakdown in trust between them and prompted him to leave the national team camp.

Despite this, the Portuguese captain took responsibility for his decision and apologized to his teammates for leaving, emphasizing that he should not have left the camp regardless of the disagreements. He also acknowledged that the Portuguese Football Federation might punish him, stressing that he did not want any special treatment as the national team captain.

Despite the crisis, Ronaldo denied that leaving the camp marked the end of his international career. He affirmed that he still wants to play for Portugal as long as he maintains his physical fitness and continues to perform well and score goals for his club. He also indicated that there will come a time for "one or more" farewell matches, but he doesn't believe that time has arrived yet.
