Testosterone levels decline with each generation Are lifestyle changes enough to restore them

According to him, testosterone levels continue to decline from generation to generation. What factors influence the level of this hormone, and why are the hormone boosters that are promoted often useless?

The doctor links the main causes to lifestyle, as excess weight converts part of the testosterone hormone into female hormones, and office work and lack of physical activity reduce its production, while chronic stress and lack of sleep affect the entire hormonal system.

In addition, environmental factors also play a role, as some types of plastics, household chemicals, and packaging materials contain compounds that affect the hormonal system. Low testosterone levels may be suspected through symptoms such as fatigue, decreased libido, irritability, and weight gain around the abdomen.

He says: "A man between the ages of 30 and 35 who is overweight and chronically sleep-deprived often has a testosterone level similar to that of a much older man. But this decline can often be reversed by losing weight, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep, at which point testosterone levels rise naturally."

The doctor warns against being swayed by popular online advertisements for testosterone boosters and supplements that claim to "raise" the level of this hormone, because the effectiveness of most of these products is unproven, making them a waste of money. Also, the uncontrolled use of hormonal drugs may inhibit the natural production of this hormone.

According to him, several key measures can help raise testosterone levels, including weight management, strength and fitness training, getting 7-8 hours of sleep, reducing stress, and treating any underlying medical conditions. If testosterone levels remain low, and fatigue and decreased libido persist, a doctor should be consulted.

He says: "Testosterone reflects the body's overall health, and it is almost always possible to raise its level without resorting to myths. It is best to start with the basics: weight, sufficient sleep, and exercise. Hormone boosters promoted in advertisements will not replace these efforts."
