The graveyard of artificial intelligence Promising applications killed by the race for development

The artificial intelligence sector and its applications have witnessed a major boom in recent months, starting with the introduction of super-powerful models capable of performing tasks that go beyond writing code and even texts, through the emergence of applications that harness different aspects of technology, and even the emergence and spread of artificial intelligence agents.

During this journey, many companies abandoned applications and projects they had developed in an attempt to keep up with the increasing demand and new needs of users, including major companies leading the artificial intelligence industry.

Although these applications were essentially based on artificial intelligence technologies, they could not keep pace with the rapid development of technology and ended up being shut down or completely cancelled.

OpenAI, an American company, is one of the largest companies operating in the artificial intelligence sector in general, in addition to the role of its "ChatGBT" application in spreading the concept of large language models and attracting the average user to the technology.

At the forefront of these applications is the AI-powered video generation app "Sora," which sought to compete with TikTok, but the company abandoned it last April and closed access to its API last September.

The company also abandoned the "Atlas" browser, which harnessed the capabilities of artificial intelligence agents to browse the internet during its journey, and instead integrated it directly into the "Codex" application, which became the primary interface for using the company's models and features in general.
