The Ministry of Communication and Digital and the Indonesian Game Association  are continuing their efforts to improve the resilience of the national gaming industry.
"We want every game studio in Indonesia to have a clear growth path, while international partners can gain a deeper understanding of Indonesia's talent and potential," said Sonny Hendra Sudaryana, Director of Digital Ecosystem Development at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology, at the Bali Tech Week  2026 event.

Efforts to support the strengthening of the gaming industry include holding the Game Developer Exchange , which provides a space for game developers to build partnerships, attract investment, and explore the global market.

IGDX provides opportunities for local game studios to introduce their products, learn from other industry players, build connections, and explore market opportunities.

Representatives from 339 game studios and 66 game publishers from 31 countries gathered in a forum supported by nine event partners at IGDX.

A total of 543 Business Pass holders can explore collaboration opportunities in business meeting rooms, while 1,037 Public Pass holders can witness the development trends of the national gaming industry.

The Director General of Digital Ecosystems at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, previously stated that the government wants domestic gaming industry players to become respected players on the global stage.

"We want Indonesian game industry players to not only be spectators of global change, but also creators, innovators, and players to be reckoned with on the world stage," he said.

IGDX hopes to foster business partnerships in game investment, development, publishing, and distribution.
