Two martyrs in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza

Two Palestinians, one of them a civil defense volunteer, were killed Wednesday in an Israeli airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip , according to the civil defense in the Strip, coinciding with the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks that sparked the outbreak of war in Gaza.
Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal said, “Two citizens were martyred, one of whom was Civil Defense volunteer Mohammed Tamous,” who died after arriving at Al-Shifa Hospital, “as a result of an Israeli air raid at dawn today near the destroyed Kamal Adwan Hospital” in the northern Gaza Strip.

He noted that a number of people were injured in the raid.

A security source in Gaza reported that Israeli forces launched artillery shelling and gunfire since midnight, targeting most of the eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, as well as the Deir al-Balah, Bureij, and Maghazi refugee camps  and the Zeitoun, Tuffah, and Shuja'iyya neighborhoods east of Gaza City. The source indicated that the Israeli army "demolished and destroyed a number of houses in the Zeitoun neighborhood."

Loud explosions were heard on the other side of the border, inside Israel.

Despite the fact that a year has passed since the ceasefire agreement was reached between Hamas and Israel through the mediation of Egypt, Qatar and Turkey, the Israeli army continues its violations through its air, sea and land strikes on the Gaza Strip on a near-regular basis.
