Iran is ready to negotiate with the US if seven conditions are met

Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei said  that Iran and the United States (US) would only hold talks if Washington accepted seven conditions put forward by Tehran.

"We have presented seven conditions to the US and stressed that there will be no negotiations until Washington meets Tehran's demands. These conditions differ from the provisions of Islamabad's memorandum of understanding," Rezaei told Iranian state television.

He added that Iran must "punish" the US. He argued that if it doesn't, other countries might think they could launch similar military attacks against Iran.

On February 28, the US and Israel began launching attacks on a number of targets in Iran, which Tehran then retaliated against.

In mid-June, Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending hostilities.

However, not long afterward, both sides launched attacks again. To date, the conflict remains unresolved.
