Iran’s Supreme Leader Mokhtar Khamenei said Wednesday, in a statement marking the anniversary of the storming of the US embassy following the victory of the revolution, that there is no room for compromise with Washington and that any new aggression will be met with a broader response.

The Iranian Supreme Leader added in his statement that "anyone who places even the slightest hope in a change in the behavior of the United States or a change in its ruling political parties and factions, or who believes that making concessions to Washington can dissuade it from its hostility toward the Iranian people, is gravely mistaken."
He said that "there is no room for concessions to the United States, and the path to deterrence lies in strengthening Iran's power and national unity."
He said that what the "Great Satan" wants is the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people, warning that any surrenderist tendencies will squander gains achieved with the blood of martyrs and the sacrifices of the people, and will encourage the enemy to be more greedy, audacious, and to wage war.
Khamenei stressed that "Iran's control of the Strait of Hormuz and the targeting of American military bases in the region constituted a response to aggression, and any new attacks will be met with a broader response."
He continued: “Now, the Arabian Gulf, and especially the Strait of Hormuz, continues to demonstrate the falsehood of the myth of America’s invincibility, the weakness and humiliation of governments that rely on a power other than their own, and the treachery and inability of the great powers to defend their client governments. Iran’s exercise of its authority over the Strait of Hormuz, and the destruction of American military bases in the countries of the region, although a reaction to America’s transgressions and crimes in the third imposed war, is at the same time considered a preliminary campaign against arrogance on a regional scale, which, if the transgressions are repeated, will take on much wider dimensions.”
The Iranian Supreme Leader said that "the strength, along with the unity of the resistance front from Palestine and Lebanon to Iraq and Yemen, represents good tidings and hope for the flourishing of the banner of truth and the creation of conditions for a new world order."
He added: "As a result of the scandal caused by the arrogant powers themselves, the declining power and authority of the United States, in both dimensions—hard military power and international soft power—is witnessing an irreversible collapse, and its disintegration is accelerating."
The Iranian Supreme Leader stressed that the only way to achieve absolute deterrence is to continue the "Iran is stronger" strategy, considering unity and social cohesion as the key element for success in this path.
On Wednesday, massive rallies were held in more than 900 locations across Iran to commemorate the National Day of Confronting Global Arrogance, which marks the anniversary of the storming of the US embassy in Tehran in 1979.
