Warning against bee venom in cancer treatment

Preventive medicine specialist Dr. Tatiana Grigorieva reported that a small dose of bee venom can cause acute angioedema, suffocation, and immediate cardiac arrest in people with weakened immune systems.

According to her, “treating” cancer with bee venom is very dangerous, due to severe allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock, as well as liver and kidney damage caused by the venom.

The doctor points out that myths circulating on the internet claim that toxic substances in bee venom (such as melittin) are capable of selectively destroying cancer cells.

She says: "Bee venom is one of the strongest natural allergens. For a cancer patient with a weakened immune system, even a small dose can cause severe angioedema, suffocation, and immediate cardiac arrest."

In addition, to filter and get rid of the toxin, the liver and kidneys must work at maximum capacity, which may lead to toxic hepatitis in the liver and toxic nephritis in the kidneys.

She says: "The toxic damage to these organs completely deprives the patient of any opportunity to undergo formal chemotherapy."

It should be noted that "cancer treatment methods" are widely circulated online, promoted by bloggers with no medical qualifications as an alternative to evidence-based medicine. Doctors warn that relying on this advice could lead to wasted time, tumor progression, serious complications, and even death.
