Lakhimpur: Ashish Mishra, the main accused of attacking farmers, released from jail

Ashish Mishra, the main accused and son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, was released from jail on Tuesday evening in connection with the case of ramming the farmers who were protesting last year in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, Ashish was granted bail by the Allahabad High Court last week after lower courts rejected the requests.
Ashish Mishra's lawyer Awadhesh Kumar Singh said that the court had sought two bails of three lakh rupees each, but there is no restriction on going out of the city.
While ordering the bail of Ashish Mishra, the High Court had raised serious questions on the investigation of the police. The court had also raised questions on the police story of the killer being present at the scene.
At the same time, the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court had dismissed the police investigation. The court had said that in the FIR, Ashish Mishra was said to be the one who fired, but no one was shot. The court had further said that the driver of the vehicle was said to be an instigator to crush the protesters, but the driver and others were killed by the protesters.
Despite the imposition of Section 144, the High Court raised questions on the district administration even after the gathering of the crowd. The High Court said in its order that if the police story is to be believed that thousands of people had gathered, then there may be a possibility that the driver tried to speed up the vehicle to save himself, due to which this incident happened.
It is possible to get rid of the minister's son from the bars
On February 10, Ashish Mishra got bail from the Lucknow Bench of the High Court, but still it was not possible for him to come out of jail. Let us call the reason for this a clerical mistake or a legal mess. Now it happened that Lakhimpur Police had registered an FIR against Ashish Mishra under Sections 147,148, 149,302, 307,326, 34, 427, and 120B of IPC while imposing 3/25, 5/27 and 39 Arms Act. When the chargesheet was filed during the investigation of this case, all these sections were included in it.
On February 10, the Lucknow Bench of the High Court granted bail to Ashish Mishra under IPC 147 148, 149 307,326, 427/34, 30 Arms Act, 177 MV Act. Section 302,120B was missing in Ashish's bail order. In such a situation, bail was not being confirmed in all the sections of the arrest of the accused by this order.
For this, Mishra's lawyers applied for amendment in the bail order. Hearing this yesterday, the court added IPC 302 and 120B to Mishra's bail order and ordered to deposit two bail bonds of Rs 3 lakh each in the case of minister son Ashish. What was then, immediately his lawyers filed a bail bond with the bailiffs' papers and the minister's son, accused of trampling innocent farmers with his luxury vehicles, came out of the bars.
Ashish Mishra is accused of thrashing the protesting farmers with a jeep on October 3 last year in Tikunia village of Lakhimpur Kheri district. Ashish Mishra was arrested on 9 October, 6 days after the incident.
