Haniyeh calls for the formation of 3 alliances to expose the crimes of the occupation and support Palestine

The head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniyeh, called on Sunday for the formation of a global front to support the Palestinian resistance, and the “Freedom and Justice Alliance for Palestine,” to expose the “crimes of the Israeli occupation,” in addition to a “humanitarian coalition for Gaza relief.”

Haniyeh’s speech came in a recorded speech broadcast during the “Freedom for Palestine” conference, which began in Istanbul on Sunday and will last for two days during which he discusses issues, most notably “representing the dangers of Zionism and its racism globally.”

Haniyeh said: "The time has come for us to fight the fateful battle of liberation, which is the original path in light of the massacres of the occupation and the American and Western support for it."

For 100 days, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that, as of Sunday, has left 23,968 martyrs, 60,582 wounded, most of them children and women, massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to the Gaza Strip authorities and the United Nations.

Haniyeh added: "A strong, broad front must be formed to support the resistance by the elites. Forming the global front to support the Palestinian resistance, and actually engaging in it, is at a stage in which traditional methods are not suitable for work."

He continued: “There is a path that works to criminalize the Zionist movement in all international forums, and it includes making efforts to reintroduce the criminalization of Zionism in the United Nations, expanding the scope of the boycott, prosecuting its (Zionist) political and military leaders before the courts and forums, imposing isolation and preventing them from speaking in universities, conferences and forums.” different aspects, and expanding the path of international solidarity.”

He also called for "the formation of the Freedom and Justice Alliance for Palestine to continue popular and official efforts to expose the crimes of the occupation on the way to the Palestinian people achieving their freedom, and to break the siege on Gaza (which has been ongoing for 17 years) and to form a humanitarian alliance to provide relief to our people in Gaza."

Haniyeh touched on the resistance and the attacks of last October 7 on Israel, saying: “The entire resistance said in (Operation) Al-Aqsa Flood: We are the owners of the land and we will not immigrate and we will not be silent The resistance of the Palestinian people is guaranteed in accordance with international laws and laws.”

On that day, in response to “daily Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people and their sanctities,” Hamas launched an attack against military bases and settlements around Gaza, killing about 1,200 Israelis and capturing about 240, exchanging about 110 of them during a truce with Israel, which holds more than 8,600 in its prisons. Palestinian.

Haniyeh added: “I salute the men and heroes of the resistance in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Syria (they attacked Israeli and/or American targets in solidarity with Gaza), and all the masses who are gathering in capitals and cities near and far... and Hamas is a Palestinian national liberation movement that works with all the people to achieve the liberation project.” And independence.”

“We are hostile to Zionism, not the Jews.”

“We are not hostile to the Jews, but rather to the Zionist movement that occupied our land and displaced our people. We are not warmongers, but freedom seekers and Hamas is committed to the unity of the land, the people, and the cause,” Haniyeh added.

He continued: "Hamas believes that national unity (ending the state of Palestinian division that has persisted since 2007) is necessary to accomplish the project of liberation from occupation, and Hamas adopts a strategy of openness to all countries and components of the nation and the world."

Speaking about Zionism and the Zionist occupation, he said: “This movement is one of the most dangerous movements known to humanity, as it has characteristics that have not been found in any other throughout history. It is a racist movement that hates Arabs and Muslims on the basis of their race and religion.”

He added that it "seeks to erase any non-Jewish presence and replace settlers. It is an abolitionist movement that refuses to recognize the right of anyone to exist in Palestine except the Jews. It is isolationist and refuses to coexist with others, and it is arrogant and looks down on others to serve its project."

He added, "Zionism is implementing a colonial project targeting the land, people, and sanctities in Palestine. It is political, economic, social, cultural, religious, and military colonialism."

He continued: "It is a functional movement employed by some Western countries to serve their colonial projects in the region. It is similar to an advanced military base in our region, and a criminal terrorist movement in which massacres are an integral part of its ideology and beliefs."

Addressing an appeal to “the free people of the world,” Haniyeh said: “The time has come to remove the mask from the Zionist entity and reveal its truth and I call for the launch of a popular global effort to recriminalize Zionism.”

He concluded by saying, "What is taking place in the trial of the entity (Israel) is an unprecedented event in exposing the crimes of the enemy and bringing justice to our people, and we look forward to a decision being issued by the International Court of Justice to do justice to our people by stopping the massacres, prosecuting their perpetrators, and affirming the right of our people to freedom, return, and independence in accordance with the relevant international resolutions." .

On January 11, the court, headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, began examining a lawsuit submitted by the state of South Africa, accusing Israel of committing “genocide crimes” against the Palestinians in Gaza, and demanding the issuance of an “immediate order” to Tel Aviv to stop the war, until Decide the case.

Israel denies committing such crimes, and accuses South Africa of "distorting the facts," as it says.
