Jakarta - PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo), one of the state-owned companies in the insurance sector, provides free personal accident insurance for thousands of travelers participating in the 2025 Free Homecoming Program initiated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.
"The personal accident insurance that we provide to BUMN Free Homecoming participants is part of Askrindo's TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility Program) whose benefits can be felt directly by the community," said Askrindo President Director M Fankar Umran in Jakarta, Tuesday.
He stated that the provision of free personal accident insurance is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for travelers while gathering with family in their hometowns to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.
"This effort is also a form of Askrindo's presence in the community," he said.
Fankar said that the total value of personal accident insurance coverage in the Free Homecoming Program with BUMN this time reached IDR 30 billion with a coverage period of seven days.
He also hopes that providing free insurance can help the government in intensifying insurance literacy and inclusion efforts in society.
"We hope that by providing free insurance, it is also one of Askrindo's insurance literacy programs, namely understanding or education to participants and the wider community about the benefits of insurance," he said.
