Jakarta - Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee Raja Sapta Oktohari said that limiting the sports branches sent to the 2025 SEA Games is a good step to maximize achievements.
"I think we also have to be aware that we have to take advantage of multi-event events, we have to maximize them with the best achievements. This is not for extravagance, so the selection process also has to be stricter," Oktohari told the media crew at the 73rd KOI Anniversary celebration in Jakarta, Tuesday.
He said this was in response to restrictions on sports to compete in international multi-events such as the 2025 SEA Games.
The restrictions were implemented as an impact of the budget efficiency policy adopted by President Prabowo Subianto's government.
